At the same time as the reconstruction and equipping of Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport with airport lights (CAT II.) and the reconstruction of runway E, whose completion is expected in October 2008, there is also the reconstruction of the northern apron. The main investor for the repair of this area is the Moravian – Silesian region. The expected deadline for completion is December this year.
The reason for repair is the preparation of the airport for the operation of a service centre.
