From Friday, 4th April 2008 there will be changes to the parking places at Ostrava Leoš Janáček Airport.
The option for long-stay parking with a whole day service which is currently provided by parking place P2 will be moved to the newly reconstructed P3 parking place. The reason is a greater capacity and better accessibility for passengers. P2 continues to be in operation, however without any services.

From today, passengers have the option to book an air ticket on the airport website. The booking is possible either through the form located on the home page or at the address www.letenky-ostrava.cz

From 30th March 2008 the airport in Ostrava enters the Schengen area. In practice, this means that passengers will be able to enter SP without passport control.
Within the Schengen area they will not pass through passport control during journeys to Vienna and for charter flights during journeys to Greece and Spain.
For the other charter destinations - Turkey, Egypt, Bulgaria, Tunis, Montenegro, Croatia and Cyprus, then passengers have to go through passport control.
